Garden Oasis is a beautiful ground-floor apartment, located in the historic Bagdale area of Whitby. The magnificent Georgian townhouse is set back away from the roads, and the private entrance and garden ensures the busy world doesn’t interrupt your stay here.

Garden Oasis is the perfect place for you. Panett Park is just around the corner. Perfect for walking, picnics, and taking in the pretty ponds and themed gardens. You’ll also find Whitby’s local history museum!

What’s more, Garden Oasis is also neighbours with another peaceful place in Whitby. Next door to the beautiful townhouse and garden lies a Quaker burial ground.

To most passers-by, the high walls and tall grass doesn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary. However, this patch of grassland is steeped in history.

Your own corner of paradise

At Garden Oasis our goal has been to create our own little corner of paradise. The private garden at the front of the property is a great place to watch the world go by, so we’ve made sure it stays that way. The utopia of flowers and trees is the picture-perfect setting for any getaway, and also creates a breath-taking environment for summer sunbathing and dining al fresco.

Finding accommodation with a private garden of this size is rare in Whitby. As a result, we’ve made sure that when visitors do come and stay with us, they’re prepared. From sun loungers to a fire pit, we have what you need to relax and make the most of your retreat.

At the bottom of the garden, there is also a wooden bench, next to our wooden Whitby Whale bone arch. This is a beautiful spot to sit, read a book and breathe in the fresh sea air.

Once you leave the tiered Garden and head inside Garden Oasis, you’ll find a spacious 1 bed 1 bathroom apartment.

Due to the fact that this building has retained most of its original Georgian features, you can expect high ceilings and large shuttered windows that look out onto the patio and garden. Throughout the property, you’ll find classic Georgian features, such as the large, recessed window in the bedroom. Which was the old delivery chute for coal and produce.

Garden Oasis has been styled and decorated with the history of the property in mind. We’ve created a space that is contemporary and bold but still keeps the essence of its Georgian roots.

The Havelock Apartment is a cosy garden apartment, for both families and couples alike. Here you will have a fully equipped kitchen, a double and twin bedroom. As well as an outdoor seating area. This is tucked away just by the foot of the town centre, making for a comfortable, relaxing environment.

The May House perfectly combines modern and traditional décor which is located close to the centre of Whitby, this striking property has it all. Like our other rentals you will have a fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms, and a twin bedroom. May House is perfect for families and groups of friends looking for a seaside holiday on the Yorkshire coast.

Book Next Year’s Break Today!

Whitby Holiday Rentals also can’t wait to welcome back familiar faces and welcome new faces to Whitby in 2022! Whitby is our cobbled seaside town, surrounded by the Yorkshire countryside, and known for its gothic aesthetics.  Book right now and you can tuck into your Christmas Dinner knowing that next year’s holiday is already sorted.

WHR know how popular Whitby is for breaks and holidays all year round.  Despite winter weather, Whitby is known for its beautiful views and home-away-from-home feel. The Easter break and summer holidays are always the most popular time of year, so book as soon as possible!

It’s good to share that Yorkshire holiday cottages with non-communal areas like entryways and lifts have been given the green light to open on the 12th of April. And the next step forwards will be the remainder of Whitby’s beautiful holiday cottages.

So, what does this look like? Well In line with other self-catered holiday accommodation in England, some cottages and campsites are now open. This includes self-contained apartments and lodges within hotel grounds. Regular hotels and B&Bs will not reopen until 17 May at the earliest.

As Whitby Holiday Rentals apartments, Harbour Penthouse and Garden Oasis are both accessed through the main building entrance, we are feeling excited about welcoming visitors back to our holiday apartments. Alongside, all the other businesses and venues across that Whitby has to offer.

In fact, there is still a lot to enjoy in Whitby like a bit of non-essential retail shopping, hairdressers, and nail place are open. Plus, outdoor facilities, indoor sports, and leisure centre.

Not to mention there are plenty of outdoor hospitality venues and outdoor attractions and of course, crabbing and beach walking too.

 Holiday Cottages Businesses and Venues

Looking forward to the 17th of May the whole of the country will welcome back indoor hospitality, indoor entertainment venues. Plus, plans include the commencement of larger events in both indoor and outdoor venues!

While the rules begin to relax it is important to still follow all social distancing rules and guidance while visiting your favourite places. For the most up-to-date information, please check the official government’s roadmap out of lockdown.

We have two separate apartments in Whitby, Harbour Penthouse and Garden Oasis.

Harbour Penthouse – Town Centre 2 Bed modern Apartment

The penthouse is all based on the third floor, it’s an open plan apartment that includes a living and dining area, along with 2 bedrooms, one with an en suite and a separate bath and shower room.  No matter what time of the year you come to visit us you’ll be able to take in the sights and watch the world pass by from the comfort of the living room. You have front row seats to the view over the harbour, with the imposing HM Bark Endeavour alongside the bobbing little fishing boats. Whitby is very proud of its seafaring heritage and you can still watch the fisherman at work.

The Harbour Penthouse comes with a lift and is on the flat level part of the town which makes it perfect for any younger or older members of the family. Not to mention, the beach is only 450 yards from the front door. And there are shops, pubs and restaurants only 175 yards away.

Garden Oasis – Georgian Garden Apartment in the heart of Town

This ground floor apartment comes with its own private entrance and tiered garden with a lawn and 3 separate patio areas where you can relax in the sun or enjoy a barbeque after your day exploring the delights of Whitby. The Grade II listed building comes with awell-equipped modern kitchen, with a retro fridge freezer and a small table and chairs for enjoying breakfast. The sitting room has 2 sumptuous sofas and dining table and chairs looking out on the garden and the pantiled roofs of Whitby. And finally, the bedroom has a spacious king sized bed so you can kick off those walking shoes and relax in luxury after a long day of walking and taking in the sites.
