The Whitby Krampus Run is the, now annual, street parade, paying homage to the local folklore of the Krampus, a horned creature which accompanies Saint Nicholas on his travels. Starting off as an inside joke among friends, this street parade has got bigger and bigger each year, parading down the cobbled streets of Whitby to celebrate the festive season. The parade raises money for Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary and St. Catherine’s Hospice.
