Pannett Park Playground

Pannett Park is a gorgeous place to escape from the crowds of Whitby Town Centre. This is the perfect place for all the family, with the Museum, Gallery and Pannett Park Playground. And clearly Yorkshire locals can agree, as it was voted the ‘Best Public Park in Yorkshire’ in 2014.

Relax and enjoy a picnic at Pannett Park Playground, a huge children’s play area. Although it’s a popular playground, especially in the summer, you are still surrounded by vibrant flower displays. Not to mention the views of Whitby from here, overlooking the town centre.

Museums, Galleries, Playgrounds, proof that Whitby has it all. Why not consider a seaside getaway? So if you are looking for apartments in the heart of Whitby, get in touch with the Whitby Holiday Rentals team.

Pannett Park Playground: Children’s Play Area

Pannett Park was renovated in 2008 and now hosts the maritime-inspired playground. Based on ideas of local children, there is plenty on offer: slides, a plethora of climbing frames and more.

After visiting the Museum and Gallery, this is a perfect place for the kids to burn some energy. It has been made clear that Pannett Park Playground is appropriate for children aged 3 – 9. Thus, it is also important to note that the Playground is accessible from Chubb Hill Road and St Hilda’s Terrace.

Additionally, the Jurassic Garden is nearby with a replica of a Gharial Crocodile. As the garden replicates a Jurassic coast and links to many of the Museum’s fossils.
