
Holiday Let Management in Whitby
Our Whitby Holiday Rentals business is growing, and our Whitby holiday apartment properties are bucking the current trend of reduced reservations and discounted rates.
The obvious question is why? What makes Whitby Holiday rentals so different?
The honest answer is we never set out to build a holiday rental business, back in 2020 we bought two holiday lets in the town and put them with a major holiday lettings company to promote and manage, we did this because despite owning our own media agency promoting clients businesses across the country, we felt that we should leave our own properties to the experts.
We didn’t set high revenue expectations for our holiday lets, however after a few months we decided to go it alone as we were getting limited bookings unless we heavily discounted. Our thought process was if we couldn’t market our own properties with our whole team of marketing experts then perhaps, we should give up the day job too.
So, our web team built our site whitbyholidayrentals.co.uk, we hooked up with Booking.com & Airbnb and set about learning the business.
Four years on purely through recommendation we now market seven properties (plus another one joining us in May) and look after the whole process for all our owners, including guest liaison, cleaning, and property maintenance.
We have teamed up with a local cleaning / maintenance company who do a fantastic job, are based in Whitby and most importantly quickly respond to any issues that may come up. As back up to this we have, an electrician and plumber with call out agreements and even offer gardening and window cleaning services through our trusted third-party suppliers.
Our owners give us great feedback, as an example below is the response from one of our two bedroom apartment owners in the town which came in when they received there April income.
We have ensured we give back to Whitby whenever we can, supporting the Whitby Welcome Weekend for NHS staff and being part of the organising group for the Whitby Ice rink are just a couple of examples, despite not being local we know the town well, and spend as much time there as possible.
We know that many holiday lets and Whitby holiday apartments are having a tough time, due to increased costs and reduced bookings and as we seem to have started on the path of growing the business we felt now is the time to really promote our service.
As a snapshot our seven properties have so far this year generated gross income of £125,000. (bookings taken Jan to April 2025) with more bookings coming in every day.
We manage a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom properties, apartments, and houses and, as mentioned previously, look after the entire process for all our types of owners who approach us regarding their Whitby holiday apartments.
Whitby Holiday Rentals has grown without trying by being honest, having no hidden charges, no surprise invoices and no contracts that tie owners in for long periods and restrict owner bookings.

Beautiful Whitby 😊
The decor was nice. Big sofa in the front room. lots of utensils in the kitchen if you wanted to cook. Hairdryer in every room. Top floor bathroom nice and big and showers were powerful. Ease of access on arrival with keys. Great location if you don’t mind a little walk into town. Lovely gargoyles.
