One of the biggest enticements of the White House is its location. Overlooking Whitby Golf Club, right on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and sitting alongside the famous Cleveland Way, it boasts some of the best panoramic views along the Yorkshire coast. On a clear day, you can see for miles, with sea views ahead, and all the fresh air you could want.
We love it here for the walk alone. It’s a gentle stroll from Whitby town, making it an ideal outing on a summer’s day. And the best part? It’s dog-friendly. Four-legged friends are made to feel just as welcome as their owners, and with the coastal paths nearby, it’s the perfect place to tie in a walk with a well-earned drink or meal afterwards.
The food is another highlight. The menu changes with the seasons, but you’ll always find comforting pub favourites and an ever-changing choice of real ales at the bar.
